Mother’s day is just around the corner and we owe it to our moms to give them a very special day. Ever since we were little girls, they have been there for us, always giving us the best, helping us with whatever we needed and teaching us new things every day. They were probably the firsts to introduce us to reading! So now it’s time to come full circle and give mom one of these beautiful books on her day.

1. The One Plus One by Jojo Moyes

This book by the very talented author of Me Before You showcases, in a very honest and funny light, what family life can turn out to be and all the craziness a mother is willing to go through out of love for her children. This is a novel you can’t help but read with a big smile plastered on your face, and with a fair amount of tears at a certain point. That’s why I 100% recommend this book as a gift for mom.

2. The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Most of us are probably familiar with this story because of the 2011 movie adaptation… however it is that we are aware of it, we know that it tells the story of a bunch of empowered women who stand up to the injustice they face and fight for what they believe in. This is a very special book and, even if you have seen the movie, it’s worth reading for its inspiring content and it’s even more worth giving it to your mom so you can share this powerful story together.
