LIFWeek PV15 Runway- DAY 3

Ahora a analizar el día final del LIF Week en la pasarela. Por estar maqueteando me fue imposible subirla antes así que aquí les va :D
* Time to analyze the final day of Lima Fashion Week and jawbreakers of the runway. 

BUTRICH

Sólo pude tener fotos del segundo bloque de desfiles ( o sea los del cierre), pero no podía dejar de mencionar lo mucho que me ENCANTÓ la colección de Jessica Butrich. Siempre me he sentido muy identificada con su marca. Un estilo retro, juguetón, al que siempre le da un toque personal y que no tiene miedo de jugar. Resaltando siempre la feminidad de una manera lúdica y colorida, seguramente si yo hiciera una colección seguiría esas mismas pautas pues va mucho con mi estilo y personalidad. Es un desfile que siempre espero con ansias.

Esta vez me sorprendió ver más una silueta setentera, no de los 50’s como antes, pero igual manteniéndose fiel a su esencia. Cocktails de colores, desde el video ya se sentía esa vivacidad, colorido y personalidad. La música también estaba genial. Las flores, siluetas sueltas y largas, las caídas de los vestidos (unos hasta tenían capas) y el styling. Lo genial de Jessica es que su visión es desde los pies a la cabeza ya que ella diseña también sus zapatos, carteras, joyería y todos los accesorios. TENGO que tener una de esas carteras de corazón con textura de relieve de flores y una de esas vinchas. Es una necesidad ahora.

I was only able to get pictures of the second block of runway shows, but I couldn’t help but mention HOW I LOVED Jessica Butrich’s collection. I’ve always felt very identified with her brand. A playful retro style, to which she always gives a personal touch, and has no fear of mixing it up. Always accentuating the felinity in a fun and colorful way, I’m sure if someday I would do my own collection it would follow those same steps, since it goes so well with my style and personality. I runway show I’m always looking for. 

This time I was surprised to see a more 70’s rather than the usual 50’s silhouette, but still completely loyal to its essence. Cocktails of colors, from the video you could feel the vibrance, color palette and personality. Always the music is so great too. The flowers, looks and long silhouettes, the fall of the dresses (some even had capes) and the styling. What’s great about Jessica is that her vision goes from head to toe, since she also designs the shoes, handbags, jewelry and all the accessories. I HAVE to get my hands on one of those heart-shaped bags with textured flowers and one of those headbands. It’s a need now. 

  

¡Este fue mi look favorito! Los tonos, combinación de texturas con el crop top de encaje y estos pantalones palazzos. De algo me ayuda mi altura aquí, creo que me quedarían lindis #YoQuierooo. Feliz de ver cómo Butrich sigue evolucionando, pero manteniendo siempre su concepto y esencia. Como en slam de chibola de colegio, “nunca cambies!”.

This was my favorite look! The tones, combination of the textures of the top and palazzo pants. My height might be helpful here, I think I could really pull them off #Waaaant. Happy to see how Butrich is evolving  , but keeping true to its concept and essence, #NeverChange.

GERARDO PRIVAT

Con lo mucho que me encantaron las propuestas de este día, Gerardo no fue para nada mi favorito. Me gustaron las faldas y partes de abajo, pero los tops o parte de arriba simplemente no tenían buen fit. Sé que las modelos usualmente no son mega boobylicious, yo tampoco, pero eso no quiere decir que les cuelgue la tela como una bolsa, se veía mal. Por más lindo que sea algo, si te queda mal es fail, no lo usarás.

I really liked most shows that day, but this was not one of them. I liked the skirts and bottoms, but the tops simply were ill-fitting. I know models aren’t usually boobylicious, neither am I, but the fabric shouldn’t be hanging like a plastic bag. It just looked wrong. Something can ve beautiful, but if it doesn’t fit, you just don’t wear it.

Ven a lo que me refiero con el fitting? * See what I was saying about the fitting?

Estos dos los looks que presentó que más me gustaron, una colección algo más chica que las demás. Me parece que faltó un hilo conector con la mayoría de piezas, no parecían todas de una misma colección. Muchos looks all white, que se viene con fuerza en la temporada y mezcla de estampados florales con rayas. El styling tampoco me gustó, el peinado sí. El corte de las espaldas y cuellos fue un detalle que me gustó mucho como se jugó en los looks, pero de manera general, admito que no me encantó :S #IFeelMean.

These were the two looks that I liked the most out of the all, plus it was a considerably shorter collection compared to the others. I feel like a connecting thread between the looks was missing, they didn’t see as they belonged in the same collection. A lot of all-white looks, which is really big this upcoming season and a lot of mixing floral and striped prints. I didn’t love the styling either, I did like the hair though. The cut and cleavage of the backs and necks I really liked, it played great with the looks, but in a general manner, I should admit that I didn’t love it :D #IFeelMean.

ANGIE SCHLEGEL

Bueno, péguenme con un garrote y lánzenlo por la ventana que con esta colección sí moriii. Y morí mal. Desde que se presentó esta diseñadora argentina en el desfile de nuevos talentos el LIF Week pasado, me dije que había que tenerla bien chequeada pues AMÉ sus piezas y esta semana no falló a mis expectativas.

La colección se llama “CATEDRAL” en el que de transmite una pureza y espiritualidad a través de las piezas. Una mujer delicada, serena, elegante. La riqueza de los looks estaba en la mezcla de texturas, capas y caídas suaves. Sentía que sólo faltaban nubes en la pasarela, parecía que flotaban de la ligereza, simpleza y pureza de la colección.

Well, hit me with a stick and throw it out the window, since with this collection I just died. Died hard. Since this argentinian designer presented her collection in the New Talents show last LIF Week, I knew I had to have my eye out for her. I simply LOVED her pieces, and she met those high expectations this time round.

The collection is called “CATEDRAL” (Cathedral), it showcases purity and spirituality throughout its pieces. A very delicate, serene and elegant woman. The richness of the looks were in the mixture of textures, layers and soft falls. I felt the clouds were missing in the runway from how they floated, light simple and pure.

El cierre épico fue con este vestido de novia. Yo me casaría en este vestido FELIZ anyday. El desfile simplemente no fue sólo uno de las mejores de la noche, sino de la semana. Y por los comentarios que escuchaba mientras veíamos el desfile con mis amiguis bloggers, no soy la única que lo piensa :)

The epic finale was with this wedding dress. I would gladly get married in this dress anyway. The show wasn’t just one of the highlights of the night, but the week. And from what I heard while enjoying it with my blogger friends, I wan’t alone in thinking that way :)

JORGE LUIS SALINAS

Una palabra: DRAMA. Si, es es la palabra que puedo usar para definir esta bella colección que hizo Jorge Luis en honor a su madre ya que siempre soñó con diseñarle un vestido de novias hermoso, sueño que cumplió hace poco para su renovación de votos.

El drama es algo bueno, especialmente en una pasarela, porque da un statement. Dice acá estoy y BUM. Eso es todo. Su visión causa un impacto y hace que la gente hable y de eso se trata la moda (toda forma de arte en realidad), de causar una emoción, una reacción en otros. Lo más increíble ademas de la variedad de siluetas y cortes que presentó con todos estos vestidos, es que aunque parezca que es cuero, en realidad todos los vestidos son de papel industrial. ¿NO ES UNA MARAVILLA?  Era como abofetearnos en una a todos ahí. Hermoso ver de tan cerca tal trabajo de alta costura, en serio fue todo un show. Lo completó con un maquillaje bien avant garde. Simplemente BREATH-TAKING. Tuvo una ovación de pie al final.

One word: DRAMA. Yes, that works perfectly to define this beautiful collection put together by Jorge Luis in honor of his mother since he always had the dream to design her a beautiful wedding gown, dream he finally achieved recently while she redid her vows. 

Drama is a good thing, specially in a runway; it gives a statement. It says “here I am” and BOOM. That’s it. His vision causes an impact, gets people to talk and that’s what fashion (and all art forms) are all about.  The variety of silhouettes and cuts in all these dresses was amazing, and although it might seem impossible to believe, they were all made out of industrial paper. ISN’T THAT SOMETHING? He could just have slapped us all right there. Gorgeous to see such work of haute couture so up-close, quite the show. He completed it with a very avant garde make up. Just BREATH-TAKING. Got a standing ovation at the end.

Con estos cerramos los reviews. De todos los desfiles creo que puedo decir que mis favoritos fueron Andrea Llosa, Ana G, Butrich y Angie Schlegel.  ¿Y los suyos? Ya me cuentan, hasta la próxima chiquis, me voy a seguir con la tésis.
