New Horizons

Today is the last day of July and get ready! Prepare your ginger tea with lemon because you won’t be able to stop screaming from the excitement (I know I can’t). August is our anniversary month! YAAAAAAY. Dolce Placard turns 4 years old #SayWhat. Oh yes. 4 years! Wow… time really flies by. The way our #DolceFamily has grown simply amazes me. I started this as a personal blog in a time when I felt sad, disoriented and in a very low point in my life. I wanted to explore who I was, find myself again. So I started this little space as a hobby where I could talk about my experiences, interests and passion for fashion (that rhymes hehe). Share my world with the world! That’s where the name Dolce Placard came from. A girl’s world is in her closet, I’m not just talking about her clothes; her secrets, what she collects, loves, saves. Placard means closet and Dolce was because I needed to think of an adjective that described me. Let’s face it Electric Placard sounds more like a home appliances company… so “dolce” stuck, because I am kinda sweet.

Today, the web has grown into a digital magazine, where I still run the blog with my looks and passions, pero we have a whole #DolceTeam behind it, and I’m not talking just behind the cameras and screens, but behind the content. Evidently, I’m not an expert in EVERYTHING, so we had to bring in the experts. Now we talk about lots of different things like culture, decor, health, art, well being, films, books, TV, recipes, fitness, music… EVERYTHING! Also, we went global. Dolce Placard is bilingual, as you can tell since our first language is spanish, we are based in Perú, but we have members of the #DolceTeam working from Chile, Spain and even Australia #OhYeah. We want to celebrate this month since some amazing changes are coming up, changes we have been working very hard to achieve: the web’s new look, new faces being added to the team, a BIG anniversary giveaway, a FAN MEETING to know so many of you in person and so many other surprises that I don’t want to ruin for you guys #NoSpoilersHere.
