Continuando con mi lista de tiendas que HAY que visitar fijo fijo fijein cuando anden de shopping tour en la ciudad de ángeles (ver anterior aquí), les contaré ahora de una que fue, verdaderamente, como encontrar un tesoro en un baúl pirata. Desde el año 2000, Hotel de Ville Vintage Eyewear es el paraíso para los amantes de gemas de la moda del pasado, con una colección increíble de lentes vintage, raros, antiguos e icónicos. Chanel, Lacroix, Dior y todas las marcas que puedan imaginar que atrae a coleccionadores y artistas a ser fans de esta marca. Muchas son celebridades como Johnny Depp, Lenny Kravitz y Madonna.  Además reparan, curan y ajustan si es que tu par favorito e irremplazable sufren un pequeño accidente.

Moving on with my list of stores you HAVE to visit for sure when fancying a shopping tour around the city of angels (see previous here),  I will now tell you about one that was like finding a pirate treasure chest.  Since 2000, Hotel de Ville Vintage Eyewear has been a paradise for the lovers of fashion gems, an incredible recollection of vintage, rare, antique and iconic eyewear. Chanel, Lacroix, Dior and every brand you can imagine that attracts collectors and artists to be this brand’s fan. Some of these are celebrities such as Johnny Depp, Lenny Kravitz and Madonna. Besides, they also fix, cure and adjust your favorite pair. Irreplaceable? No worries, if you had a little accident, they can bring them back to life.

Me sentí como Alicia en el País de las Maravillas los Prismáticos. * I felt like Alice in Wonderland Spectaclesland. 

Lo que me encanta de los lentes es que son, realmente, una pieza que te transporta a una era muy fácilmente. Realmente es como estar dentro de una película y ser un personaje totalmente nuevo. BAM! Soy Elton John. BAM! Soy Jackie O. BAM! Soy Le Corbusier. BAM! BAM! BAM! ¿Qué es lo más divertido de comprar lentes? ¡Pues probárselos todooooos! Se imaginarán que los tuve a todos como locos probándome de TODO; chicos, grandes, retro, modernos, psicodélicos, coloridos, clásicos y hasta de vinilo. La verdad es que les encantó mi entusiasmo. Les encanta cuando los clientes se prueban de todo y se divierten con todo lo que la tienda tiene para ofrecer. Es que no se imaginan…. por supuesto tuve que tomar algunas fotos para la posteridad. Aquí un compilado de algunas.

What I adore about glasses is that they are, truly, a piece of clothing (or an accessory) that will transport you to another era in a jiffy. It is like being in a movie, like morphing into a completely new character. BAM! I’m Elton John. BAM! I’m Jackie O. BAM! I’m Le Corbusier. BAM! BAM! BAM! What is the fun thing when buying glasses? Well, trying all and every single one of them on, of course!!! You will imagine how they were going crazy with me jumping all around trying on EVERYTHING, and I do mean everything; small, big, retro, modern, psychedelic, color, classic and even vinyl.  The truth is they actually enjoyed seeing all the enthusiasm. They love it when clients enjoy themselves and appreciate all the store has to offer. You can’t even imagine…. of course I had to take pictures and show you all.  Here are some of the pics.

Yo sé… me afané. Pero es que, de verdad, encontrar esta tienda fue una de mis partes favoritas del trip. Tienen que darse una vuelta por Hotel de Ville si andan por Los Ángeles…. ¡créanme! Me lo agradecerán y yo diré, pues de nada. Marquen mis palabras ;)

I know… Maybe I enjoyed myself too much?  I am not kidding when I say that this store was one of the best finding the whole trip. You have to stop by Hotel de Ville if you go to LA, you just have to… trust me! You will thank me, and I will say your welcome. Mark my words ;)
