Si no han oído de esta marca independiente, ¡Ahora es el momento! FIU*FIU por Tiffany Wong es una marca con inspiración retro. Sus colecciones siempre son inspiradas en alguna década del pasado, ésta que es su segunda y se centra en los años 40, con siluetas sumamente femeninas, sueltas, cómodas y a la cintura. La primera colección la lanzó en el 2011 antes de irse a Paris para su tesis.

If you guys haven’t heard of this independent brand, now is the time! FIU*FIU by Tiffany Wong is a retro-inspired brand. Her collection are always inspired in a decade from the past, the collection (her second) is about the 40s, with feminine, high-waisted, loose and comfortable silhouettes. She did her first collection in 2011 before leaving for Paris for her thesis.
Tiffany me habló también de cómo se inspiró en el trabajo del artista plástico y pintor MARK RYDEN, por lo que los prints en la colección son como de bosque encantado y plantas carnívoras. Aunque muchas no se atreven a usar muchas flores en invierno, a mí me parece que es muy femenino y le da color al outfit.

Tiffany also talked about how she inspired in artist’s MARK RYDEN work, this is why the prints are like they came from an enchanted forest with carnivorous plants. Even though not many are keen of waring florals in winter, I think it is very feminine and gives a pop of color to the outfit.
Estando en invierno obviamente también vemos muchos tejidos, chompas a la cintura y sacos con detalles únicos. Toda la colección tiene hombreras, hasta los tejidos que son todos de Alpaca y Baby Alpaca, la mejor calidad.

Being winter, obviously there are a lot of knits, cardigans and blazers with unique details. All the collection has shoulder pads, even the knits, which are all with Alpaca and Baby Alpaca wool, the best quality.
Mi pieza favorita fue este hermoso enterizo con una tela que trajo de Paris. Me enamoré mal! Tiffany admite que es su favorita también.

My favorite piece was this gorgeous jumpsuit with a fabric she brought straight from Paris. I fell in love! Tiffany admits it’s her favorite one too.
Evidentemente no pude irme sin comprarme unas cositas, estoy feliz con el enterizo negro y blusa que me compré con unos detallitos lindos y muy femeninos. Igual muero por regresar y llevarme más cosas, por que todo está lindo y tiene pocas piezas de cada modelo, lo que significa que bien difícil que alguien más la tenga. Dense una vuelta por el showroom que de hecho encuentran algo perfecto para ustedes.

Evidently I couldn’t leave without getting a few treats for myself, Im so happy with the black jumpsuit and beautifully detailed and very girly blouse I got. I’m dying to go back and get more, though, because everything is adorable and as she has few pieces per model, most likely nobody else will have it. Be sure to check the showroom out cause you will find perfect for you for sure.
