Traveling with Your BFFs: The Packing Essentials

Traveling is always fun, there is no need to emphasize that. There are people who love traveling so much that they also opt to travel alone, which is very advisable for everyone who wants their own peace of mind, for everyone who needs to think about things in life while still experiencing something new, and for people who simply love adventures. However interesting and great solo trips might be, there are no trips like those that you make with your best friends. This is why you should always find the chance to gather several close friends and organize your own trip. If you have one approaching, then it’s time to think about the things you will be taking with you. You might think that the packing list should be the same as if you were traveling alone, but no – there are some things you really need to think about.

The essentials

Of course, the first thing that you need to make sure you all have are the essentials. These do not include any clothes, but rather the documents that all of us need for the holiday. In order to make sure everything goes according to plan, make sure to remind your friends of all the things they need to take with them. This includes the plane tickets, passports, IDs, and other booking information you might have. What you can also do is allocate one person to be the organizer of the trip and make that person in charge of all the documents that you guys need.

Extra clothes and help

After packing all the things that you are going to wear, make sure to bring something extra just in case anyone needs it. You never know what you can expect there, so it is always better to be safe than sorry, especially if you have space to pack something a bit more. More importantly, think of the activities you will be doing there. There will be more than one of you, so some people might want to indulge in different activities that you wouldn’t indulge in if you were traveling solo. This is why it is very important to have hats with you (as you never know where you will end up and you want protection from sun), but also make sure that all of you have high-quality drink bottles to fight off dehydration (as some might want to go hiking or trekking or simply walking a lot). It is a great idea to have a bottle by your side to remind you to hydrate regularly. If you’re traveling with your pet, you should also make sure that you pack everything your pet uses on a daily basis such as cat or puppy supplements, accessories, and hygiene supplies.

One of the differences in traveling solo, traveling with your significant other, and traveling with your friends is that you will have so many different opportunities to have fun. One of the most important things that you should pack are board games to play when you are, well, bored or late at night when you call it a night. This includes board games and playing cards, as these are most often the most fun. If you are going on a summer holiday, all the more reason to pack board games or cards – what will you be playing on the beach? On the other hand, if it is winter holiday you are after, this is also a great way to make your cold nights more interesting in the cottage by the fire. Apart from all of that, you can come up with different playing games for the car or plane (or whatever means of transport you will be using). 

Tune it up

Last but certainly not the least, do not forget your Bluetooth speakers and several playlists that will include all of your favorite songs. You can have several playlists – one for the night, one for the morning, or whichever way you decide to mix them. 

Traveling with your friends is probably the best way to make some amazing memories with them. And you should, as you will have plenty of time to travel alone or with your special someone. Use this time to travel with your friends and have the time of your life. Make sure to pack everything, always have extra clothes just in case, and pack those games that you all love.
